Electrical Design With AutoCAD
Electrical Design with AutoCAD
II. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course develops skills in the professional design of electrical systems using AutoCAD, as applied to residential, commercial, and small-scale building projects.
During the program, participants will learn to develop complete electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, circuit layouts, electrical panel designs, and technical documentation, incorporating basic calculation methods and technical standards used in electrical projects.
The course is geared toward practical application in real-world projects, enabling participants to develop the electrical design for a building.
III. GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To design low-voltage electrical systems for buildings, integrating technical, regulatory, and calculation criteria, and to represent them professionally using AutoCAD for on-site implementation.
IV. SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
- Size electrical loads for a building
- Design electrical circuits in accordance with regulations
- Select conductors and protective devices
- Prepare load schedules
- Design electrical panels
- Prepare professional electrical drawings in AutoCAD
- Compile a basic electrical technical file
